Peach Blossom, Cream-Spot Tiger, and Dark Crimson Underwing Moths. Handmade in silver, 18ct gold, and enamel with 22ct gold cloissons. These Jacket Pins have such a life like quality to them, achieved by carving the metal before enamelling to capture the signature ‘hairy’ veiny look of the moth wing. The enamel itself uses a cloissone technique, which Fred calls micro cloissone, and uses 22ct gold wire which is only 0.05mm thick. Whilst difficult to control, it enables Fred to achieve very fine patterns in the enamel.
